well they are scabbling around to find as many people to attend the memorial again this year.. i walked out 3.5 years ago and have not heard anything since from the elders.
i have one that lives about 50 metres away and he is one that has not even telephoned me in all that time.
.. just the other night he turns up on my door step and hands me the usual invite!
The CO of my congo gave a fiery talk last night about how we need to invite EVERYONE to the Memorial.
Workmates. Classmates. People we see in the supermarket. On the bus. On the train. EVERYONE! The worst they can say is 'No'. What can 'no' do to us, he asked. Besides, if they say 'no', they're not rejecting us.
He also mentioned how the elders have already taken steps to invite all inactive persons.

arrested for going kingdumb hall!.
last night (3/21) the mountain view (ca) police arrested me.. this happened as i was attending the sunnyvale congregation service meeting.. i was dfd last july and was told by the elders the conditions for reinstatement were meeting attendance, repentance along with not speaking to anyone or anyone speaking to me (shunning at its finest).
(btw, i was dfd for apostasy).

couple was convicted of.
murder for the killer dogs they had.. there are also rumors that the couple was involved.
sexually, with the two dogs.. do you think it started with heavy petting?.

The guilty couple seem unremorseful (IMO).
There is a new case of dog mauling. This time it had to do with SIX rotweiler dogs who mauled to death a 10 year old girl. She was at her 11 year old friends' house and she pet a puppy and the adult (mom) attacked the child for 20 minutes.
By the way, there were no adults home at the time of the mauling.
i know we talked about it when it was playing in the theaters, but i'm too lazy to look up that thread and i think it was in the main forum anyway.
i just got the dvd and watched half of it.
if you haven't seen it it's definitely worth renting.
I heard mixed reviews about the movie. I guess I should rent it if you guys think it is good.
i've heard of responses from so many people all over the world offering their sympathy.

it is hard for me to transcibe certain feelings into written words especially since i'm not what you would consider to be a real emotional person.
i have also mastered the art of rarely showing any outward emotional expression.
i will try and do my best to give you some of the feelings i experienced today through my eyes, so please bare with me.. i drove the hour to mcminnville which is a small town about forty miles south of portland.
